Shrista Tyree is an entertainer, rapper and promoter. Rising to popularity through her stand up comedy sets, Shrista puts a goofy but honest spin on all that she does. In the summer of 2020, she was nominated as Willamette Week's Top 5 for “Best Comedian” in Portland. Also being showcased on the front page of the “Portland Mercury” for popular Revolution Hall showcase the “Undisputed Geniuses of Comedy.”
She began building her name as not only a comedian, but as a rapper and promoter as well. Releasing her first rap music video “Thot She Loved Me” ft. K-Wain which reached over 5.1k views on Youtube organically. For production, Shrista is best known for the popular hip hop open mic “Late Lyrics” located in downtown Portland. It became more than an open mic, it became a place for people in all avenues of hip hop to come together to network and grow.
Shrista Tyree is known for her contribution to the advancement of the Portland Hip Hop scene through increased venues to work with, more booking opportunities, artist management and discovering local talent. Shrista recently won the Trailblazer Award brought to you by DJ OG One and Pacwest Group alongside notable names Wynne, Mic Capes and DJ Ambush. This award recognizes an individual who identified and implemented innovative changes that positively affected their community.
