Lazarus III

After relocating to Los Angeles from Upstate NY in the late 80's Phil spent several years playing the LA circuit. Tired of the LA scene, Phil moved to Seattle in 1992, played in a couple bands there, but ultimately moved a few hours south to Portland, OR. In the Portland area Phil has played with the bands SMC Cartage Co, Element 115 and Fractal Thought and is happy to have now found a home in Lazarus III.
JT, aka James Trash, began his music career on the east coast but migrated westward to Los Angeles in the early 90s. For two and half decades JT played around the greater Los Angeles area and recorded original music with multiple bands including Punchbox, Lexington Devils, MyZuko and Broken Ocean. But LA is that special kind of place that can wear on your soul, and ultimately he decided on a new start in Portland. In addition to sitting in the drum chair of Lazarus III, JT is also a founding member of the RiverRock Orchestra, which re-imagines iconic songs from the 70s, 80s & 90s by combining a small brass and string orchestra with a hard hitting rock rhythm section.
Joie has worked with multiple Portland, OR area music projects over the years, including StumpRanch, an original project out of Vancouver Washington and bluegrass meets psychedelic rock group Ancient Alchemy. Joie has also joined forces with JT in the RiverRock Orchestra and brings the “thunder” of his electric bass sound to acoustic brass and string instruments. Joie joins JT & Phil in Lazarus III bringing with him punky/psychedelic rock energy from influences like: Radiohead, Them Crooked Vultures, and The Melvins.
Lazarus III... Reborn, and ready to ROCK!
